“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any” – Alice Walker
Until recently, I’d only introduce myself as a copywriter and digital marketing consultant. Then it occurred to me that the same way “a person who plays football is a footballer, someone who blogs is a blogger”.
Did you just say ‘duh’?.
Anyways, my name is Arinola and I am a blogger, copywriter and digital marketing consultant. I like copywriting because it’s pretty much the most interesting career path anyone could choose.
I like that it allows me get creative, let’s me create funny contents and blessed to have written for some of the coolest brands in Nigeria 😉. I like my brands abeg. LOL.
What about digital marketing? Ermm, shall we say I stumbled into it some years ago and wouldn’t leave it alone since then? To say it was ‘love at first meeting’ would be putting it mildly. I like it cos I see what brands are faced with daily, customers queries, complaints, positive feedback heave a sigh of relief. LOL. Plus the constant engagement with the brands’ followers…which is like my fave part cos I am naturally a peoples person.
Blogging? Well, this has to be the only thing I can do for free. If you see how I melt when I get feedback of how readers’ spirits were lifted after reading my posts then just maybe you’d understand my connection with inspirational blogging.
By the way, in case you’re wondering why I blog about inspiration when fashion and lifestyle blogging seem to be so widespread, don’t feel bad. I thought about it too.
When I realized how passionate I was about inspirational blogging, I would stop and just think “but God, where was I when You were giving people passion for fashion and lifestyle blogging?” .
That was years ago though, right now I’m enjoying every bit of what I’m doing because ain’t nobody got time for quizzing God about why He does what He does. Like ‘hello’…He’s GOD. Now, more than ever, I see it as a privilege to embrace and be thankful for .
That’s about why I do what I do. LOL.
Thanks for reading.
