So, I used to be close to a certain young man. He had sweet mouth and yeah, I blindly believed everything he told me. Lol. You think I was gullible? Well…I totally agree .
Like I was saying before you shared your opinion (lol), that friendship wasn’t good for me in any way. And even though I didn’t realize this, God made it known to me – oh how He saves me every time . And eventually, truth started coming out.
Then, fast forward to sometime later, I found myself in new circumstances with a different person and oh boy, I became a CIA agent who reads meaning into everything. In my defense, I didn’t want to be caught off guard again .
Haha! It didn’t take long before the same God started to deal with me on the need to drop my investigative tendencies and trust Him instead .
Like me, you might have been lied to in the past — so bad it still hurts. But you have to let the past be the past.Today is a new day and you have to believe God’s got you.
I honestly think it’s so much easier to be suspicious but I also know that there’s no peace in it. *whispers* Plus I suspect it increases blood pressure .Lol. That’s not how God wants us to live. That’s not the life He has called us to live. He has called us “to have and enjoy life” and believe me, no one can enjoy life when they are busy running around playing James Bond when they should be resting.
Here’s what I am challenging you to do today, when next you’re tempted to get suspicious about someone, speak out and remind yourself this truth “God will lead me into all truth through His Spirit. I don’t need to worry myself. I believe and trust Him”. And you can be sure of this – He will lead you into all truth. John 16:13.
