Hmm. Are you really ready for this? OK then, grab a bowl of popcorn, wear your 3D glasses and just try to picture my story. LOL
So, I have not always been a Christian (story for another day). But back then, I used to attend CAC services with my late grandma and by some miracle, I was always left alone with a Yoruba Bible. Out of curiosity, I started to read it. Not like I understood anything. But one thing was certain, the Bible offered me comfort and safety of some sort.
I’ll be honest, I was a very fearful person and sleeping was ALWAYS a nightmare. Then miraculously, I started reading Psalm 23 (in Yoruba) before going to bed and I had so much peace and would sleep like a baby.
Fast forward to sometime later, I had a dream that an evil cat was chasing me (this is no Nollywood by the way) . Need I say I was all by myself with nobody to help? I tried all I knew to escape from the frightening and threatening evil cat but the more I tried the more the cat looked at me wide eyed as though to say “When you’re done with your tricks, let me know”. You can already guess my response to this, I ‘gbeja’ed’ (I ran). Eventually I got tired of running, but the cat was still chasing and out-of-nowhere I screamed Jesus. Instantly, the evil cat disappeared and I woke up. From that day, I made up my mind on one thing – I was going to be a Christian. 😉
And you can correctly say God led me to ‘my’ friends who eventually led me to Christ. For all the twists and dramas about my conversion, send me a mail and I’ll be more than happy to chat with you about it. Email address is buzz [@] diaryofmsgenesis.com
