“Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside). [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap” Gal 6:7.
“It is true that the Bible says we should pay our tithe, but even God understands that my salary is not even enough for me let alone pay tithe”.”I know that God says I shouldn’t do this but when He considers how close I am to doing the right thing then He wouldn’t mind these deliberate errors. Biko, God Himself knows I have tried (LMAO!)” Sounds familiar? 👀.
Want to know my fave part from the above verse? The part that says “…God will not allow Himself to be sneered at(…or by His precepts being set aside.)”
You might be asking “how do we set His precepts aside?”. Well, you can say we do that by providing various excuses as to why we can’t do the right things ☺️.
And…oh yes, the Bible does say that God is good and merciful, but the Bible also says that “for whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap”. Have you set aside His precepts and followed your own wisdom? Are you sowing the wrong seeds that will backfire and wait for you right in your future? Then pray this simple prayer: “Dear Jesus, I have set aside your precepts and have been sowing bad seeds. Please forgive me for Your name sake. And help me to do the right things going forward. Amen!” .
PS: I just prayed this prayer myself. You see, I need this as much as you do 😋
