“Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my Help and my God” Psalm 42:5
You applied and as far as the entire office is concerned, you deserved the promotion. After all, you had put so much effort and hard-work behind your every day tasks. But you didn’t get the promotion. Instead, it was your colleague, the lazy one, that got the promotion 😂.
You have been praying and trusting God for your health to improve, but it seems nothing is working and truthfully you’re now very tired and have even concluded that ‘There’s no hope. Nothing is changing’.
You see, life does happen to everyone. And the true test of our faith is not when we get what we want easily, but when like Abraham we hope against hope. That means we hope and decide to stay in faith even when everything in the natural tells us otherwise 😡.
You might be feeling down right now for good reason. And I don’t blame you for that. But, I’d like to encourage you to speak to yourself right now “Yes, this situation looks like it’s not changing, YET I’ll praise God. It looks like my circumstances are not changing but like Abraham, I’ll hope in God and wait expectantly for Him. Because He is my Help. Because He is my God. And in Him only do I trust 🙏”
